The DCC90 is a large 8 pin decoder which is fitted with a removable 25mm harness including 2 function wires. Fitted in the decoder is a small 2 pin socket which can have the PowerPal inserted into it (sold seperately), This helps keep the locomotive moving in dirty or dead track sections.

The DCC99 is the PowerPal and is designed to keep your locomotives running through dirty or dead track sections.
Once a bad bit of track is detected the capacitors kick in and keep the motion, lights and sounds alive until power is restored. The time period can change depending on the decoder that the PowerPal is fitted to.
